Would you like to present a writing program with hands-on activities for participants of any age? Let's talk. I can help create the program you need - and I bet we'll have fun, too.
I enjoy developing and conducting "Brown Bag Lunch Seminars" and other productive, participative programs for employees, students, and other folks who want to improve their writing and communications skills.
One-on-one and group workshops are a great way to get things done, done right, and done quick.
Sharing information with your employees and customers is important whether you have expansion plans or new products to offer.
Another way to get your message right: we can work together. Sure, you could write it all yourself - but sometimes, two heads are better (and more efficient) than one. When you need to update your website, employee manual, processes and procedures, or sales sheets, contact me.
"Diane is an excellent manager and communicator. Her ability to take in all the data and return the important information in a clear, focused format is a huge asset! She is a valuable member of any team – positive, generating new ideas and getting results."
I love taking people away from their desk jobs to talk about (and walk in) nature! Are you looking for a guest speaker in Northeast Ohio to help motivate your employees to get moving, get outside, and feel great? I know just who you should talk to. (I also know one in Cincinnati.)
Contact me to discuss speaking and presentation fees. I do not charge for travel time in Portage or Summit Counties.
How long are your programs?
Most library programs last 60-90 minutes. I can present a workshop in under an hour, depending on the topic.
Do you discount your books at events?
I'm afraid Amazon negotiated a much better rate than I did :(
That said, retail orders of 5 or more books and wholesale discounts are available. Here's how to get those prices.
I've never worked with a freelance writer, how do we get started?
Let's get social
I tailor children's writing workshops to match your students' needs, curriculum, and/or Ohio Education Standards.
Writing workshops and other programs for children in 1st-8th grade can include specific lessons and activities.
Topics I've covered in children's writing programs:
- Point of view (POV)
- Copyright and fair use
- Narrative non-fiction
- Incorporating the five senses in your writing
- Journalistic style and writing techniques
-How to write a how-to article or instructions
Just for fun, download a free, hiking-themed Mad Lib/Word Find puzzle here. Great for teachers, home-schoolers, and substitute teachers!
What a joy to meet with fellow book lovers! I present at Northeast Ohio libraries throughout the year, typically speaking about my hiking book and/or the publishing (and self-publishing) process. Contact me to discuss an upcoming program.
